AmeriCorps Members needed for full-time (approximately 40 hours a week) service at the Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA). The position involves assisting lower-income and homeless families and individuals through the provision of services in the FCAA’s transitional shelter. Applicants must be mature, demonstrate good judgment, possess good communication skills, and be organized and motivated. Candidates must be high school graduates (or equivalent) and possess an interest or background in human services. A valid driver’s license is desired. Proficiency in speaking and understanding spoken Spanish is also preferred. The AmeriCorps Program is a national service program that provides a living allowance of $13,992 and a lump sum educational award of $6,095 for 12 months of full-time service.
