Euromed Terminal Operations Manager
Atlantic Container Line, a leader in international transportation, has an immediate opening for a highly motivated individual at our Baltimore Terminal handling the Grimaldi Euromed Service. Responsible for all aspects of terminal and vessel operations while the vessel is in port to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation. Supervise vessel and terminal operations, including ordering and canceling labor with the stevedore/terminal operator. This includes ensuring the boarding duties are covered in the terminal representatives’ absence at other North America ports. Ensure all invoices are verified and approved per contractual agreements and input into TACS. Oversee the development of the budget and ES terminal standards and provide explanations for actuals vs. budget variances. Generate operational reports for each vessel port call. Communicate and coordinate operational results with Line Management in Naples, Italy. Assist Support/Bookings Department with technical operations information. Keep abreast of local port labor conditions and participate in local port associations as required.
Job Requirements: A maritime college degree is preferred, but not necessary with five or more years of prior maritime operations experience. Management experience helpful. Proficient in MS Office. Excellent phone, written, and organizational skills. Must work well independently and with others. Possess the skills to act independently in the best interest of the organization. Candidate must be flexible with the ability to conform to pressure situations. Must be able to work outdoors at terminals and on vessels for extended hours in all varying weather conditions. Occasional travel is required.
Certifications and Licenses: Must be able to secure a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and DMV Driver’s License.
