Job Description:

Our Training & Development Specialist is critical to our success and outstanding reputation for service. The primary focus of this position is to develop, maintain, and deliver relevant, interactive training to both new and existing employees in order to achieve organizational goals. Highlights from the job description Include:
- Conduct ongoing needs assessment to identify areas requiring training and development
- Design training programs on a variety of topics, including job specific training for member-facing positions, new employee orientation, product knowledge, and core system software
- Deliver training programs using a variety of instruction methods
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to develop, improve and/or document work procedures
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of training programs to determine effectiveness
- Administer online learning platform
- Perform the duties of the Human Resources Specialist as necessary
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, about 35 hours per week. The work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, working from another branch, working before and/or after business hours, working on Saturdays, and working hours exceeding the standard work schedule.
Work Schedule & Location:
Duties are performed in a professional office environment. Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule, working from an alternate Credit Union branch, working before and/or after business hours, working on Saturdays, and working hours exceeding the standard work schedule.
Travel:
The ability to travel between Credit Union branches is required. The ability to travel occasionally within the Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan area to attend meetings, training programs, or to conduct other business is also required.

Job Requirements:
This position requires a diploma from a public or accredited private high school. A high school equivalency diploma (GED) may be substituted for the required education. This position requires experience in banking or the financial services industry or experience in education, corporate training, or a related field. Education at an accredited college or university in a field of study related to the required experience may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Thirty credit hours of education are equivalent to one year of experience.
Licenses, Certificates, & Other Requirements:
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment credit check and criminal background check as a condition of employment.
Job Specific Competencies:
- Proficient use of personal computers, internet applications, e-mail, and various windows-based software applications including word processing.
- Knowledge of adult learning theory, needs assessment tools, instructional design methods, and evaluation methods.
- Proficient in a variety of presentation, course authoring, and web conferencing applications. Must be comfortable with and able to learn rapidly changing technology applications.
