Recruiter & Retention Specialist
Borrell Electric Co Inc., has an immediate opportunity for a Recruiter and Retention Specialist to work in our Tampa office.
As a recruiter with Borrell Electric, you will use your experience and professional drive to recruit and retain the best talent and diverse skill sets to be a part of a team that our customers have labeled "The best Electrical contractor in west central Florida". Successful candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interview skills. They will be proficient in computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft office, specifically Excel. Bilingual English/Spanish and construction experience a plus but not required. Minimum of Associates Degree or 60 credit hours in a fully accredited college or university. Bachelor's degree in educational leadership, human resources, or related field preferred.
Outline of duties are as follows:
* Manages the recruitment and retention of field staff.
o Develops and coordinates job postings.
o Assists in the recruitment of potential employees via recruiting websites, social media employee referrals, job fairs and other sources.
o Contacts potential candidates and confirms interview schedules.
o Conduct interviews, makes offers and works closely with HR during the orientation for new employees.
o Maintains documentation in applicant tracking log.
o Manages the employee referral program.
o Performs exit interviews and processes change of employee status.
o Serves as primary point of contact for potential employees through first day of employment.
* Manages or Co manages company apprenticeship program.
o Attends required apprenticeship partner meetings.
o Provides academic support.
o Manages apprentice selection process from within BECO field staff.
o Provides mentorship and coaching.
* Create and implement a leadership pipeline to include leadership modules to grow current employees and build succession plan for field and office staff.
* Manages company positive reinforcement program.
o Safety related give-a-ways o Apprentice accomplishments.
o Recognition - peer and customer.
o Company outings ? Random moral/team building events ? Christmas parties ? Bonus meetings
Physical Demands
o Travel to project sites.
o May be exposed to dust and noise during project visits.
PPE equipment may be required depending on project environment.
o Travel to job fairs and any off site meetings described above.
o Expected to carry recruitment materials and assist in setting up physical booths at recruitment venues.
