Non-Profit, Social Service Head Start program is seeking a Database Coordinator to manage the program's Child Plus database system used to track information for families and staff.
- Monitor day-to-day usage of database system.
- Troubleshoot database system.
- Develop training programs for staff on the usage of database system.
- Check databases for data quality and integrity.
- Provide technical assistance and support for database systems.
- Address database related queries from staff and customers.
- Develop technical solutions for any problems related to database system.
- Conduct regular data auditing to maintain integrity of the database.
- Maintain user access and permission levels for database segments.
- Assist in database design and development based on user needs.
- Evaluate database systems and recommend improvements.
- Develop strategies for database consolidations for greater efficacy.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing reports, meeting minutes and other project files when requested.
- Prepare and present reports. Identifying and recommending new ways to streamline processes. .
- Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data.
- Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
- Provide training to all users.
- Office-based position.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, with experience in management and/or information technology, required. Experience with Educational data management systems a plus. Strong analytical skills in order to quickly assess situations, identify trends, develop solutions and apply critical assessments to the larger context. Travel within the state required. Must have a valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and reliable transportation.
