Registered Nurse Supervisor

Responsibilities of the RN Supervisor involve :
- Providing management & supervision of private duty nurses & aides
- Assisting with coordination of clinical services to ensure appropriate service delivery under the direction of Director of Nursing
- Supervising care of patients from admission to discharge for assigned case load
- Monthly home visits & documentation of supervisory note
- Developing a Plan of Treatment for assigned patients & update every 60 days
- Attendance at scheduled meetings to collaborate with other health care professionals to plan & implement appropriate therapeutic regime
- Performing skill checks for assigned clinical staff to ensure competency
- Reviewing of clinical documentation to assure adequacy & quality of care
- Reinforcement training of caregivers as required
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN or equivalent Preferred).
- Active Registered Nursing license in Maryland / Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- PEDIATRIC experience: 1 year (minimum) which includes pediatric direct patient care within the last 3 years [preferred]
- Candidate must possess strong clinical skills to manage the care of technologically dependent patients with trachs / feeding tubes / ventilators
