Program Administrator V, Addictions
To manage and supervise the Kent County Maryland 24/7 Residential Addictions Program. It evaluates the daily operation which includes staff supervision and development. Prepare grant requests and monitor budgetary expenditures associated with the operation of the treatment program. Collaborate with supervisory service-delivery and support personnel in the development and implementation of program policy and procedures. Develop, foster, maintain appropriated relationships with other agencies and individuals, including but not limited to the criminal justice system (Courts, Parole and Probation departments) hospitals and physicians, employers, social service agencies and other county health departments. Lead meetings with staff supervisors, and specialized groups. Participate in continuous quality improvement and utilization. Review activities, including data collection and analysis. Evaluate and review with staff performance appraisals. Oversee development and training for staff. See that all staff maintain appropriated credentials essential to job performance.
Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 6 years of health or human services professional experience, including 4 of which must have been in professional work related to treatment and services to persons with alcohol or other substance addiction, and 3 of which must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.
A master's degree will substitute for one year of general experience. A doctorate will substitute for 2 years general experience. Additional experience may substitute year-for-year for the college degree.
Desired or preferred qualifications, good Leadership skills, experience in preparing large budget and grants, experience in supervising 100 or more employees, exceptional communication skills. Candidates must also be available 24/7 for the Residential Addictions Program.
