Program Manager, Robotics Surgery
Mercy Medical Center is hiring a Perioperative Robotics Nurse Manager who is responsible for planning, development, quality review and process improvement of the robotic program. Must have and maintain expert perioperative clinical knowledge of all aspects of care and services for robotic surgery patients including wellness, screening, research, treatment, technology, rehabilitation, and community outreach. Assists in managing the Robotics program in tandem with physicians’ offices, Perioperative managers, Surgical Scheduling, and the Perioperative team. Must possess a GED or High School diploma and BSN degree, RN license, CPR or CNOR preferred. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude required. Experience in Robotics is required.
The Perioperative Robotics Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of the robotic program. Must have and maintain expert perioperative clinical knowledge of all aspects of care and services for robotic surgery patients including wellness, screening, research, treatment, rehabilitation and community outreach. Assists in managing the Robotics program in tandem with physicians offices, Periop managers and Periop team. Must have and maintain advanced practice skills including expert practitioner, educator, consultant and researcher. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can apply such to various audiences including professionals, patients and families. Must be creative, flexible and collaborative for successful outcomes. Expert nurse will have responsibility for implementing and managing all aspects of the Robotics program related to clinical and administrative processes, including development and implementation of clinical and programmatic policies and procedures, operational and educational budget in tandem with the Perioperative Director and physician staff. Must be able to communicate effectively, be self-directed and comfortable with managing multiple responsibilities of the program, including clinical, administrative and educational components. 24/7 Service line responsibility.
Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must possess a BSN degree. Experience in a surgical specialty is preferred. License Requirement: RN license. Certification Requirement: CPR. CNOR preferred. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Meditech (if applicable to position), Epic and Performance Manager/NetLearning. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must exhibit patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
