Irrigation Electrician (Schoolcraft, MI)
Organize and direct maintenance and repair of AC electrical systems on irrigation and grain systems and DC systems on trucks, combines and sprayers. Read schematics and reference materials. Install and repair motors, switches, relays, and breaker panels. Install components of machinery, power equipment and install wiring. Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits and equipment using testing instruments, including multimeters and ohmmeters. Connect power supply wire, cable conduit and electrical apparatuses for both new and existing machines and equipment. Detect needed repairs and develop inspection procedures. Maintain inventory of tools and supplies. Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment and establish safety procedures to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition. Minimum of two years of electrical experience with agriculture tools and irrigators, including Agrico, Valley, Senter 360 and Zimmatic, and meeting requirements for Michigan driver's license with F endorsement required.
