Paul Reed Smith Guitars, one of the world’s premier guitar and amplifier manufacturers located in Stevensville, MD is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the full-time position of Inventory Control Coordinator 

Summary: 

The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, maintaining and updating the inventory management system as well as executing MRO purchases. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Inventory Control Coordinator:

  • Administer Inventory Control and Cycle Count Programs. Manage daily cycle count processes and work with teams to resolve discrepancies. Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies. Perform research into root causes of inventory inaccuracy. Work with others to resolve process problems that may lead to inaccuracy and creates corrective action techniques. Reconcile inventory variances by identifying root cause. Document and take corrective actions to ensure future inventory accuracy based on root causes of variances. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory, including components, raw materials, WIP and finished goods with recurring issues identified and corrected.
  • Report monthly inventory reports to management.
  • Oversee and ensure the execution of all inventory control and auditing functions. Maintain inventory records and interface with auditors, providing documentation and answering questions as required.
  • Manage, develop, and execute the MRO purchases to maximize plant resources to meet demand and on-time delivery of finished goods to the customer. Maintain a cost saving approach to purchasing by continuous investigation of new sources of supply and new processes.
  • Responsible for selection of suppliers ensuring that cost effective and quality materials are purchased and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Administer vendor managed inventory (VMI) programs, ensuring suppliers are meeting all contractual requirements.
  • Interface with other departments and outside suppliers resolving any purchasing related problems that may arise.
  • Monitor and analyze assigned supplier performance to meet established goals. Negotiate price, delivery and terms with suppliers for assigned commodities

 Experience for the Inventory Control Coordinator:

  • At least 3 years' experience in inventory control and/or purchasing required
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook especially Outlook and Excel

 

Requirements for the Inventory Control Coordinator:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and cycle count processes
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives 
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
  • Self motivated and proactive
  • Team oriented. Ability to drive a team
  • Organized and able to multi task
