The Tazewell County Board of Supervisors is soliciting applications for qualified, experienced individuals for a Human Resource Manager. This position will report to the Director of Finance for Tazewell County. The HR Manager will conduct new hire orientations, which would include the enrollment process for all county benefit programs. Responsible for maintaining employee personnel files and benefit program files. Ensure timely processing of all benefit program changes and document on the appropriate administrative form to be given to the payroll department. Assist employees with healthcare claims and other related benefit claims. Verify and reconcile all calculations of monthly premiums/contributions for benefit programs. Review and respond to unemployment claims and maintain appropriate documentation. Be familiar and have knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Administer COBRA and FMLA for all county departments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, as well as organizational and time management skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. A bachelor's degree is preferred, (but not required) and/or two (2) years of experience in Human Resource Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The starting salary is $39,000 - $45,000, DOE.
