United States Navy’s Intelligence Specialist (IS)
Intelligence Specialist (IS) assist in every phase of the collection, processing, and dissemination
of intelligence information; assemble and analyze multi-source operational intelligence of
surface, sub-surface, and air weapons in support of intelligence briefings, reporting, and
analytical programs; prepare and present intelligence briefings; prepare material for use in
planning attack and photographic reconnaissance missions; prepare graphics (annotated
photographs, plot sheets, mosaics, overlays, etc.); plot and prepare multi-sensor imagery; draft
intelligence reports; provide input to and receive data from computerized intelligence systems,
ashore and afloat; maintain intelligence files (photographs, maps, charts, photographic
interpretation keys, etc.); and maintain and update intelligence libraries.
