Responsibilities: |
As the Central Plant Supervisor, the incumbent will act as the chief operating engineer responsible for the safe, constant and efficient operation of the Central Plant, Satellite Plant and the Event Center. Specific duties include: coordinating inspection; repair and maintenance activities for both emergency and non-emergency conditions; responding to normal/abnormal situations such as switching pumps and boilers of 1500 horsepower and above; functioning as a liaison with contractors; operating and maintaining central station type reciprocating, centrifugal, or absorption air conditioning and refrigeration equipment with single compressor and chiller units in excess of 1000 tons; recording data such as temperature, pressure, hours of operation, fuel consumed, water levels, voltage load, generator balance and utilizing the building Automation System for plant and building operations; and performing other duties as assigned. Note: Position is considered essential personnel. |
Required Minimum Qualifications: |
High School Diploma/GED Seven years progressively responsible experience in the trade(s) where assigned to include at least four years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Must possess a valid Non-commercial Class C or equivalent Maryland driver's license

Maryland 1st Grade Engineers License and Universal CFC license |
