The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) Office of Institutional Advancement is seeking candidates for two Project Manager positions. Working closely with the Creative Services and marketing staff, the incumbent is responsible for managing the execution of marketing projects and campaigns from concept through delivery, including scheduling, trafficking materials, and ensuring that high-quality projects are delivered on brand, on message, on time, and on budget. Specific duties include: identify all tasks to be completed for a marketing project or campaign; collect pertinent production information, and build and manage detailed project plans and monitor project timelines; serve as liaison between campus partners and creative staff, writing creative briefs to translate partner needs for more complex projects; proofread all copy for accuracy, clarity, and University style; assist with digital marketing execution as necessary; work closely with the design and production staff, as well as with staff at a higher level and other peers; and perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field required. Experience in project management certification or experience with project management tools, methodologies or software preferred. Proficiency in WordPress, Google Drive tools, PhotoShop, and Acrobat Pro preferred. Effective writing skills for web and other marketing channels preferred.
This is a full-time contractual staff position. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, and compensation includes full university benefits.
