The Assistant Director provides technical program and personnel management oversight to the Student Admission and Financial Systems group. The position serves as the primary interface between ESE and Student Admission and Financial constituent offices such as the Office of Student Financial Systems and Cashiering, the Office of Student Financial Aid, Undergraduate Admissions, The Graduate School and other related offices.
The Assistant Director directs all activities within the Student Admission and Financial Systems team including, project and program oversight, managing resources across activities to balance capability against shifting demands, mentor and coach staff for optimal performance, act as hiring manager for new and backfill recruiting. The Assistant Director also works closely with the Director of ESE for all technical, resource, and budget planning for the year.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with Master’s Degree in Computer Science Management, Information Systems or equivalent preferred
- 12 years’ experience in IT industry
- 5 years IT leadership or progressive management experience
- Demonstrated experience with staff development and oversight
- Knowledge of entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) with preference for SCRUM and Agile methodologies
