Coordinator, Software Licensing & Contract Management

The Coordinator for Software Licensing & Contract Management, within the Business Support Services unit of DIT, reports to the Assistant Manager. This position requires the ability to work independently on a large range of tasks and duties. The Coordinator will serve a lead role managing 300+ contracts that are active within the division. They will work closely with technical leads and the Business Office. The Software Licensing Office provides licensing and technical support to all faculty, staff and students of the university. The Coordinator will be a lead software content administrator, maintaining the software distribution site, creating packages, testing for user viability and accurate documentation. This position also manages student employees with the ordering process and granting access rights. In addition, they will monitor the support ticket system, serve as a point of escalation, and provide reports to leadership. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and make decisions independently, are critical to the success of this position.


Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience providing technical, supervisory and administrative support. Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-to-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
• At least 5 years of customer service experience
• At least 5 years IT experience or similar
• Moderate HTML experience
• Experience with software distribution and licensing
• Microsoft Windows, Office and Mac OS experience
• Technical document writing experience
• Inventory management experience
• Knowledge of billing and account processes
• Supervising experience

Physical demands: all physical activity and environmental conditions are those normal to and expected in an office support staff setting. Light office work that may require the need to lift 15 pounds due to interaction with office supplies. Must have the ability to walk short distances to attend meetings on campus.
