Web Administrator, IT Systems Analyst
Responsibilities will focus on performing operations and maintenance tasks for current and future SaaS, PaaS, and locally hosted solutions in support of University needs. Tasks will include, but not be limited to, interacting with other technical teams in support of implementing and integrating current and future systems and services, working with vendors in support of hosted solutions, and working with clients in support of their use of services. Client interactions will include migrating to services and diagnosing issues when encountered. Monitoring of systems and investigating system problems are also part of the position’s responsibilities.
Minimum qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study or equivalent experience;
and
5 years’ experience with a variety of Web application platforms like Apache, Tomcat, and other J2ee application servers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good understanding of networking: HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, routing, certificates, load balancing, high-availability systems.
Preferences
-Experience administering Drupal sites.
-Expert level of experience with PHP.
-Familiarity with Git and Drupal development technologies such as Drush.
-Strong problem solving skills and ability to work concurrently on multiple projects.
-High proficiency of command line in a UNIX/LINUX environment.
-Effective written and verbal communication skills.
