Job Summary:
This position is in the Department of Geography & Sustainability in the Division of Social Science at Western Oregon University in Monmouth. http://www.wou.edu/geography/
Applicants will be expected to teach introductory courses in geography and advanced courses in topics such as political geography and global climate change, in a format that fits the applicant's interests and qualifications. The course load would be 2-3 courses per quarter.
We are not considering candidates who require Visa sponsorship support. Additionally, the university typically only considers visa support for employees placed in specialized positions that are continuing regular university appointments.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in geography or related field (all degree requirements completed by start date)
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in geography, or related field (ABD will be considered)
- Interest and ability to support teaching in the department's new Sustainability major
- Prior college teaching experience
