Salary: $16.00 Hourly - 16 hours per week
Description
Woodbury County Conservation Department is looking for someone to join their team in a part-time position, 16 hours a week. This position will be responsible for the efficient and accurate performance of a variety of designated clerical, recordkeeping, and receptionist duties for the County Conservation Department. This position is under the direct supervision of the County Conservation Office Manager.

Duties
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
The following duties are typical for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive .
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Perform general receptionist duties. Answer phone inquiries within scope of responsibility and refer inquiries to proper resource when necessary.
- Provide good customer service and public relations with general public, vendors and employees.
- Perform word processing, data entry, and financial recordkeeping. Prepare various reports and correspondence for department employees.
- Scan and file department documents. Maintain departmental flow of information.
- Review invoices and statements for accuracy, and prepare claims for payment on an accurate and timely basis.
- Assist with preparation of bi-weekly payroll and all required payroll records for submittal on a timely basis, as needed.
- Maintain various databases for departmental records.
- Assist with maintenance of department online reservation system through MCP.com. Communicate reservation information to park staff via fax, email and Outlook calendars.
- Assist with preparation of monthly information packets for Board members.
- Order and maintain office supplies, as needed.
- Attendance is required.
Minimum Education and Experience Required to Performing Essential Functions:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent GED with experience in office secretarial, bookkeeping and/or receptionist work.
- Ability to accurately keyboard 40 words per minute (net score)
- Ability to communicate effectively, in clearly spoken English, orally and/or written and to deal tactfully with the public
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks; ability to safely and efficiently operate a variety of office equipment
- Knowledge of computer skills to effectively and proficiently operate Microsoft Office (including Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, & Power Point), Quicken, and county bookkeeping system
- Accurate proofreading skills
- Substantial knowledge of accounting, recordkeeping, and budgeting procedures
- Knowledge of County Conservation systems
- Basic First Aid, AED, and CPR Certification
- Personal maturity to safeguard confidential information
- Candidate for hire must successfully pass a background check, a pre-employment physical examination, vision, back screen and drug screen prior to employment.
